Description

Women's Policy Forum

We hope you will join us at this empowering event that focuses on raising awareness and engagement around issues that prevent women, children and families from becoming self-sustaining. In addition to our own local dignitaries, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from our state’s leading experts on what’s coming up on the docket for the next legislative session, how to get involved and advocate, and where we stand as a state on many issues. Featured speakers include Jeannine Carpenter, current Director of Advocacy for the Chattanooga Food Bank, as well as a National Advocate for the combined largest Food Banks across America; and Sara Beth Myers, who is the Deputy General Counsel for the Southern Poverty Law Center. Both have spent an inordinate amount of time drafting laws and advocating for the marginalized women, children and families we all desire to lift up and support.
